Priced per result by platform: X $0.0007 a post, LinkedIn $0.0035, Reddit $0.00245 a post in search, $0.07 a run plus $0.00665 a post for a subreddit or user (inspect lists every platform). The hold covers the requested limit; the charge covers the results returned, so fewer results cost less, and failures and empty results release the hold. No date filter: filter on created_at after the call. If the provider's actual cost overruns the estimate, the run bills the overrun at the same per-call rate, capped by the hold.

The exact quote is returned by /v1/inspect before every call and held with headroom on execution. The quote is the price floor: if the provider's actual cost overruns it, the run bills the overrun at the same rate, never above the hold. The unused part of every hold is released.
